I was born and raised right here in Colorado— yep, I’m a proud native! My life stays exciting with my wonderful husband and three daughters by my side! Growing up, I was never the “girly-girl” type.. you know, the one who always wore makeup and did her hair nicely each day? Nope, just not me! In fact, quite the opposite.. I grew up playing soccer— and I was pretty dang good I may add!

We’ve established.. I’ve never been a “girly-girl”. So, you may be wondering.. how did I become a bridal hair and makeup artist then? Well, it honestly fell into my lap in quite the crazy way! My first up-do was one I did on my sister when I was 12 years old. She came home in tears on the morning of her wedding begging her little sister (who had just so happened to learn how to french braid recently) to braid her hair for the wedding. Turns out the original stylist was sick and they had no room in their schedule to get another stylist the day of. I gave it a try.. and, oh man, I rocked it! She looked truly amazing! :)

I never really put much thought to that experience for a long time. Years passed… I was working my retail job and was completely bored out of my mind— when my sister came into town at just the right time. At the time, I was really thinking I needed a change of pace. As an artist at heart, I was dabbling with the idea of cosmetology school! My sister’s visit was impeccable timing— I remembered the look and feeling my sister had given me when I finished braiding her hair for her wedding and it was pure happiness, love, and excitement. It was a feeling I wanted to have the opportunity to experience over and over!

While in cosmetology school, I was the girl asking everyone if they would let me style their hair in updos, just to get some extra practice in.. begging other students to watch updo videos and new makeup techniques with me.. and after some real heart searching, I had found my calling. I started up my business slowly right out of school and I continue to grow each day! I’ve gradually built up a circle that supports me and passes along my name.. propelling my success! I started by learning from my fellow stylists, throwing ideas off each other and showing each other the ropes. I now get the privilege of mentoring up-and-coming artists, helping them reach their full potential! Over time, I’ve discovered that doing wedding hair and makeup is, without a doubt, where I’m meant to be. It’s grown to become one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things in my life.

It’s an absolute joy every time I book a new client.. because I know I’ve now just gained a new best friend! It’s my hope that you book my team and I, providing us the honor of joining in with you on one of the most important days in your life!
